What Happened to Stealth Mode?
In Chat Watch 5, Stealth Mode is no longer necessary. Here's why:
In Chat Watch 4 you had an explicit option between Normal Mode and
Stealth Mode. When Stealth Mode was selected Chat Watch would run in the
background logging chats with no visible windows.
You do not have this option in Chat Watch 5 because Chat Watch 5 was
designed so that an option for Stealth Mode is not necessary.
To begin logging chats click the Start button on Chat Watch's
toolbar. This will start the chat logging part of Chat Watch. You can
now exit Chat Watch but Chat Watch will continue to log chats. To stop
logging chats, run Chat Watch and click the Stop button on Chat Watch's
toolbar.
Why the change?
In Chat Watch 4 the program that logged the chats was the same
program you used to view the chat logs. This caused Chat Watch to use
much more memory than is necessary. So in Chat Watch 5 we split Chat
Watch into two separate parts - one part logs the chats and one part
views the chat logs. The part that logs the chats runs in the background
without any windows visible to the user which is what we used to refer
to as Stealth Mode. |
