Searching Chat Logs
Chat Watch 5 provides two ways to search the logged chats for a
keyword or phrase. The first way is to enter the keyword or phrase in
the box labeled Find near the top-left corner of Chat
Watch's main screen. Enter the keyword or phrase to search for and click
the Search button. Only the text of the chat will be searched.
Chat logs that contain that word or phrase will be shown in the list of
logged chats and all other chat logs will be removed from the list.
The second way to search chat logs is by clicking Advanced Search
from the Chats menu. This will show the Advanced Search dialog where you
can specify additional criteria for the search. Enter the desired search
criteria and click the Search button. All fields on the Advanced
Search dialog are optional. If no fields are specified then all chat
logs will be shown. Click the Close button to close the Advanced
Search dialog.
To show all chat logs click Refresh from the Chats menu or
press F5 when Chat Watch has focus. This will show all logged chats. |
