Chat Logs Database
To access the chat logs database options first open Chat Watch's
settings by clicking Settings from the Tools menu. When the
Settings dialog is shown click Chat Logs Databases.
- Compact Database
Compacting the database will generally make the database smaller
by removing the unneeded information from it. Compacting the
database is not required.
- Check for Errors
Click this button to check the database for errors. If errors
are found you will be given the option to repair the database.
Checking for errors is not required and errors will be rare.
- Backup Database
Click this button to make a backup of your current chat logs
database. It is recommended that you make periodic database backups
in case of a hard drive or computer failure.
- Restore Backup
After selecting the desired backup in the list, click this
button to restore the backed up chat logs database. The current
database will be overwritten, so use caution when restoring a backup.
- Delete Backup
After selecting the desired backup in the list, click this
button to delete the selected database backup. The backup
database will be removed from the list of backups and from your
computer.
