About Tasks
Tasks allow you to have the chat logs automatically sent to you at
specified times. You can choose between having the chat logs sent to
your e-mail address or uploaded to an SFTP (Secure FTP) server.
Chat Watch does not need to be running at the time the task is
scheduled to execute but the computer must be on and not in standby mode.
When a task is executed no windows are visible to the user of the
computer. If there are any errors while executing the task the errors
will be saved in Chat Watch's event log and will not be shown to the
user.
Important: You will need to make sure that the cwt.exe
file has permissions in your firewall to access the Internet to perform
the scheduled task (e-mail or upload). Note: When a new task is created it is marked as a Hidden task in the
Windows Scheduled Tasks. In Windows XP Service Pack 2, hidden tasks can
be viewed in the Windows's Scheduled Tasks by clicking the Advanced tab
on the Windows Scheduled Tasks window and then clicking View Hidden
Tasks. |
